A True Story

An intern from Chicago wrote a letter to Newsweek about how she met Kerry in 1997.

She wrote as a summer intern for one of the senators from Illinois she ran into Kerry in the Capitol's subway. Kerry sat in front of her and greeted her with a genuine (her adjective) smile then asked her name, who she was working for and how she was enjoying her summer in Washington. Kerry thanked her for her time working for the Senate.

She continued that she was really impressed with Kerry since most of the Senators treated interns as "get out of my way attitude". Furthermore she said that the Senators were condescending and aloft.

She closed her letter by saying that some were friendly and warm and seemed genuinely appreciative for the time interns donated and John Kerry was one of them.

My comment:

How many near 60 year old men have you seen genuinely similing at 20 year old girls and asking their names?

I did that one time and my wife called me DOM (Dirty Old Man).

Besides, 7 years ago he wasn't 60.

wait, a -politician- smiled at someone likely to vote and work for him and ASKED THAT PERSON'S NAME? how inappropriate!
